FOOD AS AN ATTRACTION
EVERYBODY LOVES TO EAT BUT NOT ALL LOVES TO TRAVEL, RESPECTIVELY. IN SOME CASES, PEOPLE CHOOSE TO TRAVEL OR TRANSFER FROM ONE PLACE TO ANOTHER BECAUSE WE WANT TO TRY OR EXPERIENCE SOMETHING NEW TO US, A UNIQUE ONE SUCH AS FOOD AND OR DELICACIES IN A PARTICULAR PLACE. AND AS FOR ME, IT IS A GREAT SELF-FULFILLMENT!
IN THIS PAGE, I WILL SHARE TO YOU MY EXPERIENCES, OBSERVATIONS, SOME HINTS TO HELP YOU ALONG THE WAY TOGETHER WITH MY FRIENDS ON OUR FOOD ADVENTURE HERE IN OZAMIZ CITY.
LAST JANUARY …. WE, MAEHARA, LARRY, KATHRENA AND I CHOSE TO DINE AT CHICKEN ATI-ATIHAN, IT WAS AFTER SIR ERIC’S CLASS ( PHILIPPINE ARTS AND CULTURE).WE ORDERED LECHON KAWALI AND FRIED CHICKEN, BUKO AND MANGO SHAKES. IT WAS SERVED AFTER 15 MINUTES, SEEMS SO LONG BUT I UNDERSTAND SINCE IT IS A MADE-TO-ORDER PRODUCT.
ACCORDING TO THEIR ESTABLISHMENT, “LECHON KAWALI” IS ONE OF THEIR SPECIALTY DISHES BUT FOR ME IT IS NOT! I DON’T GET THE TASTE EITHER J AND IT IS VERY HARD, HOWEVER THEIR FRIED CHICKEN WAS BETTER. I LIKED IT VERY MUCH AND IT IS MORE DELICIOUS THAN ANY OTHER RESTAURANT AND EVEN FAMOUS FOOD CHAINS SUCH AS JOLLIBEE, CHOWKING, ETC. SOMEHOW I DON’T REGRET TH E THING BECAUSE WE DIDN’T SPEND MONEY TO PAY FOR IT BECAUSE LARRY’S DOES. WE DON’T ACTUALY EXPECT FOR IT SINCE WE ONLY SAW THEM ALSO DINING AT THE SAME RESTAURANT. HE WAS A REGULAR CUSTOMER IN JOLLIBEE.HE PAID INSTANTLY OUR BILL OF FOUR HUNDRED THREE PESOS (403Php) AND SO WE FEEL VERY BLESSED ON THAT DAY.
SECONDLY, ON THE SAME DAY WE DINE AT HOTPOT RESTAURANT.
I WAS SO EXCITED TO TRY THE SPECIALTY MEAL OF HOTPOT SINCE I NEVER HAD BEFORE, NOT EVEN ONCE IN ALL MY 3- YEAR EXISTENCE HERE IN OZAMIZ CITY. IS SEEMS TO BE A VERY FINE RESTAURANT BUT NOT REALLY AFTER I TRIED THEIR SPECIALY MENU WHICH IS “HOTPOT”. IT TASTED VERY OFTEN TO ME AS OF SOUPS IN AN EATERY/ “CARENDERIA” BUT ONE THING IS DIFFERENT- THE WAY IT WAS BEING PREPARED /SERVED SINCE IT WAS COOKED IN ACTUAL.
The ingredients were pork, beef, shrimp, Chinese peachy, carrots, cauliflower, mushroom, bagyo beans, tanghon pasta, mongo (taogi), spring onion, bell pepper and tofu.
WE EVEN HELPED THE CHEF FOR ABOT 15 MINUTES. THE MENU IS ACTUALLY HALF-COOKED.
OUR LAST FOOD DESTINSTION ADVENTURE WAS AT MOOON CAFÉ LOCATED ALONG THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY AND BESIDE “MANG INASAL” RESTAURANT. WE CHOSE TO DINE HERE SINCE IT LOOKS VERY RARE, SPECIAL AND EXPENSIVE RESTAURANT BUT ACTUALLY I BEEN HERE WITH MY FAMILY SOME OTHER TIME. I TRIED AGAIN THEIR “BABY BACKRIBS” AND “BEEF STEAK” MENU AND IT WAS THE BEST AMONG THE THREE SPECIALY MEALS AT DIFFERENT RESTAURANT, RESPECTIVELY.
ACTION PLANS ON HOW YOU CAN HELP BOOST INCOME IN OZAMIZ CITY BUSINESS AND ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY.
LOCAL PEOPLE, GOVERNMENTS , TOURISTS SHOULD TAKE PART IN THE DEVELOPMENTS AND TO HAVE A SUSTAINALE TOURISM IN OZAMIZ CITY. IT IS BY COOPERATION AND BY A HARMONIOUS RELATIONSHIP A REGION CAN IMPROVE.
