ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS OF TOURISM IN OZAMIZ CITY:

Certainly, Ozamiz City is still a developing destination. It has now establishing new forms of tourism-related interactions that would attract more tourist/consumers such as malls/shopping center, public and private projects ( recently the Robinson Supermarket; Gaisano SouthWing; Camella Homes/ Housing. Although these would bring some positive impacts particularly on the local economy of OZC- maximizing benefits, but there are most visible and deep impacts at least on this developmental level. So we should still put a vague consideration on a sustainable tourism which respects both local people and the traveler, cultural heritage and the environment.
